The ScriptWalla Workshop is a 10-week course hosted by screenwriters Kamlesh Pandey and Ben Rekhi dedicated to those who are determined to walk out after the workshop with a BOUND AND FINISHED SCRIPT. The Workshop is designed to walk writers through the process from idea to finished screenplay. It is our goal to provide the tools and foundation that writers can use to execute their vision on a tight deadline, now and in the future.
We accept only 10 applicants, so those who apply should have high interest, dedication, and some limited experience as screenplay writers.
The Workshop runs from the beginning of June through early August and is hosted at Whistling Woods International film institute in Film City.
Meeting each Tuesday and Thursday from 11:00am-1:00pm, the workshop will be broken down into one hour of lecture, and one hour of active workshopping with applicants’ scripts.
Topics of discussion include; story analysis, tools of writing, method and approach, break-down process, writing for camera, effective dialogue, and troubleshooting for writer’s block. Towards the end of the program we will bring film industry contacts into speak on the business side of screenwriting.
If you are interested in applying for the ScriptWalla Workshop, please send us a brief bio and an email letter stating why you would like to take the Workshop: info@scriptwalla.com
The deadline is Monday, May 25th. Classes begin the first week of June.
