EVALUATION

In a film industry that claims to be the largest in the world, 90% of Hindi films drop dead at the box office. Scripts have always been the weakest link. Producers have been trying to minimize their risks and are now learning that a good screenplay is usually the recipe for success. During Script Evaluation, we take a script, break it down, generate coverage, and provide a report to the producers detailing the script’s strengths and weaknesses.

DOCTORING

Based on the Script Evaluation, Producers may opt to do a re-write of the said screenplay. Script Doctoring is a service wherein we receive a draft of a script and, under the supervision of the producer, make the necessary adjustments to develop the story to fruition.

DEVELOPMENT

Additionally, a producer with an original idea or the rights to a book, play, or newspaper article, can bring it to ScriptWalla where we will work closely with them to nurture the idea from vision to finished screenplay. In Hollywood this process is called Development, a process often overlooked or abandoned in the Indian Film Industry.

Script Consutling is a form of insurance for producers. With film budgets escalating as high as they are, there cannot be enough emphasis put on ensuring a screenplay is ready to shoot.
